what to expect

What is worship like?

  • What does worship look, sound and feel like? Our Sunday worship begins at 4:00pm. As you arrive, there might be some music in our worship space to help set the tone for worship. In our worship service, we honor the use of liturgy and creeds and also incorporate creative variations. There are usually three or four songs during the service, a few short readings from the Bible, and a prepared message that focuses in on a specific topic. The service lasts about an hour. Most importantly, everything in worship revolves around Jesus and His love for us.

  • Will I be asked to do anything? No, you won’t be singled out or called on. During the times when we speak or sing something together as a congregation, you can choose to speak or sing along or just listen - it’s up to you! There is a part of the service where we’ll gather an offering to support our work in Mansfield and beyond. You are welcome to contribute if you’d like, but we totally understand if you’d prefer to learn more about a church before supporting it financially. We don’t expect visitors to participate in our offering.

  • What should I wear? More important than what to wear is that you are there, so wear something that makes you comfortable. For some, that’s jeans and boots. For some, it’s a tie and jacket.

  • Who is worship for? Everyone! It’s for the sceptic, disillusioned, and curious; the brand new and long-time believer; the young and elderly; the widowed; the single and married and divorced.

  • What do you have for kids? We strive for intergenerational worship. Right now, at this point in our ministry, everyone worships together. We love the sounds of little ones in worship and are planning additional children’s programming for the future.
